Sebastian Weiß

I am a PhD student at the OFFIS Institute for Information Technology in Oldenburg, Germany. In my research, I create stressful Virtual Reality scenarios for nurse apprentices, with a focus on the nursing environment Intensive Care Units (ICU). I received my master's degree in medical systems engineering at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, and I hold a Bachelor of Engineering from Jade Hochschule Wilhelmshaven.

What I Do


I create VR experiments to research the reactions of users to virtual representations to typical scenarios from intensive care units

I have collected 6 years of experience working with the game engine Unity3D, most of which with Virtual Reality.

Mobile Development

I have some experience creating applications both native in iOS/Android as well as with Unity
